The journalist in charge of this story says there is no official doctrine in regards to social nudism. Then again, the story makes it sound as if it depends on who is your bishop as to whether (if discovered) you could get in trouble.

Iiiiiiiiinteresting.

I haven't listened to it yet (one of the few ME podcasts that has heretofore failed to pique my interest), but John Larsen and the lovely Zilpha sat down with a couple of these folks earlier this year: Mormon Expression Episode 106: Mormon Nudists.

I've read around on the Mormon Naturalist forum before. Not sure the actual name of it. It was interesting.

So, question about these nudists: would this group tend to be composed mostly (or partially) of young, single, and attractive girls?

If the answer is yes, where might I join?

:D

My understanding is that most nudists you see at resorts are generally 50+ in age since many want to wait until their kids are out of the house before they get involved in nudism. However, there are people of all ages involved -- and I suppose they come in all shapes and sizes...some looking like Angelina Jolie and some looking like Hillary Clinton.

From my experiences in hot springing you generally get an equal number of males and females while my few visits to clothing optional beaches you seem to get a 2 to 1 ratio of males to females (many of the males being gay). Maybe also many women are scared to go to a nudist beach alone for fear of something bad happening -- the same reason a woman is apprehensive about walking alone in the city at night. The numbers at nudist resorts are probably equal since most resorts, from my understanding, may allow single females to join, but men usually have to join with a wife. Doesn't seem like the kind of place one would go to pick up on anyone.

LDS Inc should reopen SaltAir resort and call it a garment beach.

Both one and two piecers would be allowed, but no nudity!

Laughter possessed me. I hope it was supposed to.

The older gentleman in the broadcast posts on LDS.net all the time. He is an advocate for nudism besides being a really nice guy.
