I do! I do!
I definitely think NAMI should publish Will's article(s). Because I don't want him to have the ability to claim he was misunderstood or quoted out of context or think he can deny what he said. And I want to see women take his argument apart sentence by sentence.

Maybe that was part of the point.
In any case, I voted yes on the publication of Will's work. I agree with George Miller when he said that what matters is Will's argument, not his online persona. There are plenty of scholars out there who do good work, but are nevertheless terrible assholes.
I do understand Celestial Kingdom's point about publications of a certain kind. And, really, the kind of standards they want to set for publication are their business. But, I did not do a victory dance when I heard the news about Will's possible rejection on account of Jack's thread. Indeed, the only reason I jumped into that thread at all was to comment on the input from "Silver Hammer," "Belinda Schryver," and Pahoran.
I very much dislike Will's online persona. I think his approach to online apologetics represents the LDS Church very poorly. That said, his work on the Book of Abraham is a separate issue altogether. It should stand or fall on its own merits, not on Will's online behavior.

I don't have an opinion on whether they should or should not. But if they choose to publish it, they are also choosing potential future embarrassment if his online behavior is revealed in a larger venue, like the Deseret News with Metcalf is a Butthead.

Did NAMI solicite MD's advice on this question?
Do they care what a few no-name malcontent here think they should or shouldn't do?
Whatever the answers, it is interesting to see the sustained proliferation of anti-Will threads, and this after I had mistakenly assumed that the manufactured firestorm had burnt itself out last week. Clearly the obsession with Will is far stronger than I had imagined, and continues to deepen--that, or people here have an insatiable appetite for returning to the vomit of personal destruction.
Thanks, -Wade Englund-

I assume you're talking about Will's vomit.

Of course you would assume that. You are, in some ways, impervious to honest and accurate self-reflection. Nothing new there.
Thanks, -Wade Englund-

Oh, I forgot, the problem here wasn't that Will engaged in vulgar sexualized insults against females on this site - the problem is that we objected to it.
Thanks for clearing that up, Wade. You're always so helpful.

Do they care what
you think Wade? Have
you got Will's cryptic hogwash "figured out" to a point you can make a discernible argument out of it? Are you a "big-name" Wade? Does your opinion matter more than other opinions because you are a self-professed big-name? If you have the answers to Will's cryptic theories, because it's so simple and makes so much sense, please explain it with data to back up your
big-name opinion.

FAIR could help rally around Will by making him keynote speaker at this year's Conference. MD could do their part by planting a Kimberly Ann lookalike in the audience and then anxiously wait until the inevitable melt down occurred.
This is not to say that the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) could not in someway honor Will - especially after the melt down.
