MAD board statistics and nemesis

Recently, Sunday June 5th, I brought to the attention of my peers on Mormon Discussions the obvious fact that the MAD board is in serious decline:

Not surprisingly, posters agreed that indeed a striking decline in membership activities has occured on the MAD board.
Not to long afterwards, a moderator from the MAD board, obviously a little hurt and more than willing to pose an argument that MAD was far from dead pinned a topic on the very subject containing choice statistics:

I believe it is very clear by looking at the cherry picking of stats and the immediate need to defend by said moderator that the MAD board is in far more trouble than I ever imagined. It can only get worse with a moderator going p0stal and the MI attempting to distance themselves from posters/apologists such Bill Syiveriver.

It has been quite a period of time since I have last visited said board and it appears that the decline in posters is striking. I am afraid said board is on the verge of a near-death experience. Why is this occurring? I theorize that moderation and unhealthy regular posters on said board has caused a great deal of TBMs to leave the site.
