Kevin Graham wrote:A couple weeks ago Simon had told everyone on the forum that most of my Facebook photos were without a shirt. Well, this was the only photo, out of perhaps six dozen, that showed me with no shirt on. I'm guessing his comments prompted someone to go look up my Facebook account. That's where the photo was taken from.

In response to this, I mused:
Dr. Scratch wrote:That's because Simon has been using Facebook to gather "intel" on critics. He's posted family pictures of people before, on the various iterations of his blog. By now his history of blowing up and doing stupid things has been well established. I don't know whether he was responsible for the meme, but it wouldn't surprise me. Even if he didn't do the actual meme, I'd be willing to bet that he circulated that image amongst his TBM pals
To which Simon replied:
(emphasis mine)S. Belmont wrote:When I saw that you had posted on this thread, my first thought was "Scratch will probably pin this on me."
I was correct.
For the record, and I know Scratch will attempt to cause more contention: I had nothing to do with this. I did not use Facebook to gather "intel" on critics. I did not see Kevin Graham's Facebook until he added me as a friend a couple of days ago. The joke about him being shirtless was just that, a joke, I had not seen his Facebook at that time. Again, I had nothing to do with this and condemn it with everything I can. It is despicable for anyone to engage in this behavior.

So, a couple of observations here:
1. First of all, I didn't "pin" it on you, Simon. I said, "I don't know whether he was responsible for the meme, but it wouldn't surprise me."
2. The post where Simon first claimed to have seen images of Kevin "sans shirt" is here:

Simon wrote:Incidentally, for lots of photos of Kevin sans shirt, look him up on Facebook.
LOL!
The date of this post, by the way, is May 23rd, which is important because:
3. The date Simon announced his Facebook page was May 25th, here:

So, what's going on here? I noted above that I think Simon has been using Facebook as a means of gathering "intel" on critics, and indeed, as Kevin noted, it seems like an awfully peculiar coincidence that Simon would make a post about a shirtless Kevin, only to have this image surface as the meme in this war on critics. Bear in mind, too, that Kevin has been the object of some of Simon's rather obsessive anger--e.g., Simon's continuously calling him "Angry McAngerton," etc. In other words, Kevin is precisely the sort of critic (rather like Brent Metcalfe, with whom it's already been established that Simon has been stalking, clear back to his datacycle days on ZLMB) that Simon would "investigate."
For me the big question is: How extensive was Simon's role in this latest round of shenanigans? If anything, I think this shows yet again just how deceptive Simon is. While I rather doubt that Simon himself was posting the lewd and vulgar material, it wouldn't surprise me if the photo's appearance on memegenerator was a direct result of Simon's cyberstalking campaign. It's not too much of a leap to think that Simon may have harvested the image and then passed it along to, say, Droopy, who perhaps hates Kevin more than any TBM aside from Pahoran or Will Schryver.
