My spouse came home from the temple and indicated that a new Apostle John had been digitally inserted into the endowment movie. I did a forum search about this and couldn't find an existing thread about it. Does anyone know anything about this?

I heard that a bunch of months ago.

I can only vaguely remember the rumors about why the change was made.

Is he cute?

Would we recognize him from any TV series characters?

OK, this is the strangest thing I've ever heard. What in the world would be the motivation for such a silly thing?!

Were they looking for cultural diversity? Did they insert a darker skinned guy in there? Did the actor of the original John commit some crime in Las Vegas?

She DID indicate that he looked Hispanic.

I bet the original John no longer holds a temple recommend.
