Discussion topic(s) for DCP

Why can't we just discuss something like...
What are the most important, theological Similarities between Mormonism and Islam?
What is the best aspect of being employed at BYU?
What are the biggest challenges facing young, Mormon intellectuals today?
I started the thread so I call absolutely nothing personal. Yes, I'm being the Nemesis of MDB. If you start getting personal, I will seek you out and submit you to 45 whole minutes of my music library. Trust me, that would be dangerous!

I'll have to think about it.
In the meantime, I've been far too busy defending myself against Scratch and Cam4Something and sock puppet. The usual nonsense. Pretty much why I don't enjoy this place all that much.
If I did at some point consent to discuss such questions, I would only do it in the Celestial Forum. I grow tired of the malignant silliness here, and there's a chance that there might be at least slightly less of that sort of thing up there.

DCP is good when he posts about Islam. I know that there are others who disagree with his views, but I find his Islam/Arab-related posts to be very informative and insightful.
I don't know why he seems to always prefer to fight with people.

There is hope! Whatever works for you, DCP. I will try and refrain from being silly- or never get any more jovial and irreverent than yourself.
I am not CK material so I never visit the Celestial. I'm more of a coffee taster who tries his darnedest to like Skip James but somehow keeps gravitating to Beyonce.
You know I've said things that got me kicked out of MDD. Likely, you were on the very thread I got booted from. But what you have to say, and on this forum (the combination of the two) is too good to pass up. A professor from the very school I met my wife at and pretty much the top dog of apologists AND the guy who saw me at my worst- my dark days at the MAD board, navigating my way through the whirlwind of in real life as an exiting Mormon in a conservative Utah town.
There is a lot of history between us (that I see, anyway) and it would be a treat to better acquaint myself with you.
I wonder if that makes any sense.

Why do you bother? They are just trying to wind you up. Much better to ignore what they say or not address them directly. We have posters here that get a thrill when they wind you up. Much better to deflate their balloon by not taking the bait.
You are also needed on the terrestial forum. Scottie will handle personal attacks against you or anyone else.

Hey Dr. Dan (Hope all is well with you)
for what it's worth, if you decide to take part in the discussion/topics raised in the OP, I believe there are many (Ceeboo certainly included among the "many") that would be most interested to learn what your opinions/perspectives are.
I, for one, hope you decide to partake (But do understand if you choose not to)
Peace,
Ceeboo

Dan,
Please show me the stone box. You know the one that contained the golden plates, the sword which beheaded Laban, and the so called Urumin-thumbinyerass thingie.

Daniel, you make me blush to list my name in such great company.
But really, you think you are 'defending' yourself against me? Since you have moved on from the substance of Mormon topics online to focusing on procedural matters, I did not think you'd consider someone pointing out they do not like your procedural tactics, like threatening legal action, to be an attack. If you were engaged in substantive discussion, and I flanked you with a swipe about your procedural tactics, I could understand your considering it a distractive, 'cheap shot' against which you needed to defend. But I am only addressing you on the type of topics you focus on: the procedural tactics of Dr Scratch, for example. You have made procedural tactics a fair topic, have you not?
