Will Jesus ever be exalted?

I don't know if this is answered by deep Mormon doctrine classes, but will Jesus ever be exalted and be his own God, or is he stuck as second in command to Elohim, like Riker to Picard? I watched the "I Believe" song from The Book of Mormon Musical on YouTube, and one of the lines goes, "I believe Jesus has his own planet too." It got me thinking, if Jesus is exalted with his own planet, how can he be so involved helping Elohim with the mortals on Earth, and planning for his second coming to Earth, where he will sit in judgment of everyone? Shouldn't he be focused on executing his plan of salvation for his followers on his own planet, and let Elohim handle his own affairs here?

Riker will eventually get his own ship to command, but will still be under Admiral Picard's command.

I believe he is already exalted to be his own God by virtue of the fact that he is now resurrected. When that happens, my expectation is that we will still be subservient to who our God is now, but are creations will be subservient to us. I think Jesus already has a lot going on besides this earth.

Poor Jesus, with all of the worlds under daddy Elohim's estate, his crucifixion schedule must be murder!

When they are getting ready to pound in the nails he is probably like, "Goddammnit! Can you use the existing holes? I don't want tracks fermysakes!"

How is the guy supposed to get any time to be a god himself and keep up on all of his own universe projects like construction of his own Spirit prison and HELL. He has a ton of wives to impregnate too!

There's times I bet he wishes he was in Hell just hanging out and crap.

I vote this question be elected the most interesting question of the year. Damn! You have to admit, Mormonism has more cool doctrinal queries than any other... Except maybe the Hindus.

The doctrines surrounding the Mormon pantheon remind me of the Hana-Barbera cartoon series "superheroes". I loved watching that!

If I ever end up NOM, I will be constantly asking these kinds of questions. Not as a way to be critical but simply because it's so much fun!

I do not want to come off condescending but come on. I refer to my Wonders Of Eternity: New Mormon Theology paper all the time. Why not take a few minutes and get educated.
http://www.fireark.org/wonders_of_eternity.pdf

Let me just summarize to the points already mentioned.

Jesus Christ is not an exalted being in the sense of entering into his exaltation. He is Very God from all eternity.

Jesus Christ only needed to accomplish ONE atonement for all his creations. That is why exalted little 'g' gods are sealed to one another so that the work done on the highest of those exalted gods planet carries through all. King David had the promise to be highest of all the kings under Christ, but he fell and that honor is to be awarded to someone else.

Christ is treading the tracks of the Father and inherits what the Father did before. And Christ told the Jews what and if you shall see me ascend up to where I was before. And the Father told Jesus that he had glorified his name and would glorify it again. This is an eternal round of a course and that means that the three Gods who make up the Godhead REPEAT each of their three stations one click of eternity to the next. Christ will sit upon the very throne of God's power when the Holy City is moved to this planet. Where do you suppose that the Father who is presently sitting upon that throne will go? Hmm?

Why do you think that the Holy Ghost is called the Holy Ghost? Ghost of what? Ghost of the Holy Father. Thus all three are God and have been God from all eternity. I defy all the learned LDS to refute the least point of this. Like they have done for over thirty years they will not discuss it or allow it to be discussed by not engaging in a decent discussion.

No less than Gordon B. Hinckley slammed the door on my writings in early 1980s in the East Millcreek Stake where his mentored sycophants ruled. President Benson threatened to change all that a few years later. We know the rest of the story. Like it or not.

Sorry to lecture.

Excellent analogy. Admiral Riker may eventually be named the JL Picard Professor at Starfleet Academy and have many blond and brunette Ensigns serve under him.

Whenever I read Nightlion's posts, I hear the voice of the guy on the new Bright Eyes album
