The True and False Curse of Cain Doctrines

In 1804, Joanna Southcott, who claimed to be a Prophetess, wrote a pamphlet in which she said Cain was the first Negro. She made many prophecies; including the end of the world in 2004 A.D. At 65 she claimed to be pregnant with the Christ-child she said she was going to bare. She soon died, and it was found she was not pregnant. After her death her disciples scattered, and some of them became followers of Jacob Cochraine, who taught "spiritual wifery". Cochraine died in 1836, and most of his followers become members of the Mormon Church. Brigham Young first met the Cochrainites in 1832 and spent many months among them, and married Cochraine's widow.

What the LDS church taught for 130 years:

*Cain was a white man, anglo-saxon looking man until he killed Abel, then God went "poof" and Cain changed into the first Negro, and Cain married one of his white sisters, and God when "poof" and she became the second Negro.

*The Negroes are cursed to servitude because they are Canaanites and inherit the Curse of Canaan by Noah.

*When the Curse of Cain is removed Negro women will give birth to white anglo-saxon looking children, but this will not be until after the Millennium is over. If the priesthood is given to the Negroes before then, the Lord removes the priesthood from the Earth.

*LDS Public Affairs has declared that the "Church never taught" that blacks are cursed and "the Church never taught" that blacks are the children of cain but this was "just some folklore by a few Members of the Church".

Yes...they are lying.

The true Curse of Cain:

There is a nomatic tribe of blacksmiths in Arabia named the "Sleb" and "Qayin" who do not farm and have a mark of protection on their foreheads called a "sleb" ("X"). The ground does not grow for them. If one sleb is killed, seven slebs avenge his death. They are not blacks but are ruddy-skinned Arabs like all their Arab neighbors. They do not appear to be part-black either. Their tribal name is "Qayin" which is the Hebrew and Arabic name that is translated as "Cain" in English Bibles.

The Canaanites are the Phoenicians: the Lebanese and Cathagians. These were white people and not Negroes.

Conclusion: Brigham Young was a very ignorant man and not a "prophet" in any way, shape, and form.
