My new question for God

I have a new question for God. It is this:

Are you married to Heavenly Father?

If so, why?

Some of you might wonder why this is an important question. Let me suggest that it is possibly one of the most important questions of all time.

I plan to ask God this question tonight at the side of my bed, on my knees while the kids are asleep and all is quiet.

Eliza R. Snow Smith asked about this and I think Brigham Young told her to be quiet and quit writing about Heavenly Mother. Probably because Brig couldn't figure out how to pick her out of the hundreds/thousands of brood cow celestial wives of Elhoim/Michael/Jehovah and the gang.

Are you implying a) "God" is a woman or b) God has a gay marriage to Heavenly Father?

Hi Scottie!

I went on a walk into a beautiful forest today and took the time to say a prayer. It has been a little while since I tried this formally. I stepped off the trail to spend some time thinking and looking around me. I prayed to her sincerely. I know it might seem odd that I did this but I can't get myself to pray to the God I grew up with for many reasons.

Honestly, I'm not sure if God is really there. I have no idea. I came into my prayer with that in mind. I didn't try to force a belief. I started my prayer thinking of how all the amazing things around me have such an enormous history. I let that stir in my mind as a possibility that she is there - somewhere. Then I asked her if she is really there. Once again, I felt something I can't deny. I felt an understanding. Every bit of the fear I had growing up was gone. That God who did those evil things we read about is gone. It was just me and this idea that gave me peace. I know, it is just an idea. But it affected me. I'm still willing to say there is a chance it's confirmation bias and I told her that. She understood and smiled at me.

Then I asked her what was really on my mind. I said, "I know this might seem trivial to you. You have so many things to worry about. But it means a lot to me. Are you married to Heavenly Father?"

She said no.

That is all I can say. To me, it's as simple as that.

Is this just kind of an exercise, Zee, or do you really believe you're getting answers from the great beyond?

It's an exercise with an open mind, Buff. I'm open to the idea of God, but I'm very skeptical. I admit that I sort of want God to be there, and that presents a bias.

I felt it just like all the other times I received answers as a TBM. It is an enjoyable experience.

Well, it certainly is an interesting experiment. I've felt "the spirit" many times as an atheist - and that's after a week spent on here damning myself to hell for blasphemy. I haven't tried praying to other gods and looking for a Moroni 10:5 kind of answer. I should give it a whirl sometime.

I kind of want there to be a god, and I kind of don't. If there were a god, I'd have to conclude that she/he/it doesn't give a rat's ass about humans. But it'd be nice if there were a god, and she/he/it did.

How does revelation work for you, Zeezrom? Curious...did you hear the word "no"? Did you just think the word clearly? Did you see the word formed in the clouds? Did bugs form and create the word?

Stem,

How would you react to your questions asked to you?
