I shake my head every day and I cannot believe that I used to believe....

An angel gave Joseph Smith gold plates and then took them back to heaven....still taught

North and South America had not one human until the Jaredites, and then only one Jaredite left (lonely guy) until Lehi and Ishmael landed....some still teach this, others do not, Church has no official position on this anymore.

Adam and Eve were the first human beings, Anglo-Saxon looking white people....still taught.

Cain and his sister were the first Negroes....Church now denies it ever taught this, still taught by a few older Mormons in rural Utah.All races of men came from the three sons of Noah....still taught, but Church refuses to respond if you ask them about this.Noah's flood covered Mount Everest.....still taught, but Church refuses to repond on this.

Australia has thousands of totally unique plant and animal species because a black son and daughter of Canaan built a huge raft and took thousands of unique animals and plants, found no place else on Earth, and travelled from the Mount Ararat area in Armenia (where Noah's Ark landed) to Australia.....taught by Joseph Fielding Smith, and still taught by some older Mormons who read his works, but Church will refuse to respond if you write them about this.

Mormon bishops are common judges in Israel, and have the spirit of discernment.....still taught, but I cannot find a born-in-the-Church Mormon, active or otherwise, who actually believes this.The Brethren are prophets/seers/revelators. Nobody can lie to them and get away with it, because they have the spirit of discernment.....taught up until the Mark Hofmann episode, and I don't think anyone still teaches this. The Church will not respond if you ask them if this is true.

Mormon women cannot lie, nor do anything against the Law of God, unless forced to by an evil male.....I was told this many, many, many times, and I don't know if bishops still tell young men this or not.

Lamanites have red skin because God cursed them with it so Nephites would not want to marry them....this is what the Book of Mormon teaches, but if you ask the Church if this is true or not they will not respond but say "We'll get back to you" and never do.

The Nephites had millions of horses, asses, oxen, cows, and sheep, many cities, but all these things have completely vanished, but one day all these remains will be found proving the Book of Mormon to be true.

Yes.....sadly...very sadly...I once believed all these things! I cannot believe how utterly naiive I was when I was a young Mormon!


NOTE***I NEVER believed in the Heavenly Incest Doctrine, that God the Father "stepped down from HIs Throne" and had sex with his spirit-daughter Mary, and that when I become a God I would have the "priviledge" of doing the same with my most beautiful spirit-daughters. Many older Mormon men believed this, when I was a young Mormon, but I never did. I considered it evil and blasphemous....just as I do today.

Well, the Church USED TO believe all those things, because all those things I was taught over and over and over again by everybody I knew at Church, including bishops and Institute teachers. Also, you can find these teachings by Mormon leaders in General Conference reports. Granted, the Church NO LONGER teaches many of these things, such as God having sex with Mary, that Negroes are cursed and inferior, that the Lost Tribes are "hidden" at or near the North Pole, etc., these things WERE taught by top Mormon leaders for over 100 years. FACT. The Church doesn't openly teach "embarssing" things anymore--things proved untrue or things no longer "popular" with the world, such as Negroes being inferior. But, the Church DID teach all the things I listed, for over 100 years, as "doctrine". The Church does NOT want it's young people to know that. The Church is hiding, suppressing, and "changing" Mormon history. Deception, in the name of God, every single day.

I believe the Church still openly teaches that Adam and Eve were white and the parents of all humans, that the flood was universal. I have not attended Church for 15 years so I DO NOT KNOW if older Mormon men are still teaching the Heavenly Incest Doctrine in Sunday School (i.e. God has sex with his spirit-daughter Mary), nor do I know if they are still teaching that God sends you a beautiful woman on condition you blindly follow Church leaders. But I WAS TAUGHT ALL THIS as a young Mormon.

From what I can tell, the Church now teaches "fluff". The Church has gotten away from teaching hard doctrine and now emphasizes "feel good" teachings similar to what one gets is the Church of Religious Science. But, again, I don't' know because I have not attended for a long time.

They still teach the Nauvoo Expositor was destroyed because it printed Lies.
They still teach Joe was accosted at least three times on the way home from getting at least 70 pounds of gold plates. They still teach joeyboy went 'like a lamb to the slaughter' at the Carthage Jail. They still teach joethecoxman was arrested but never convicted of anything - because all the arrests were 'persecution'.
