Rich,

You should remove information about other religions on your site. It should be dedicated to the promotion of whatever your brand/denomination/sect of Christianity is, and to leave others' alone.

Simon, the book of Jude admonishes Christians,

"to contend for the faith once delivered unto the saints."

The Jehovah’s Witness religion claims that all other churches are what make up Babylon and only they are the true church chosen personally by Jesus Christ after a time of testing from October 22nd 1914 to 1918. The selection was made in 1919. I challenge that!

The Seventh Day Adventists claim that Christ began his Investigative Judgment on October 22nd 1844 and they are the only true Church — all other Churches who worship God on Sunday have taken the mark of the beast.

The LDS Church claims that they are the only true Church and all other churches have fallen into apostasy — total apostasy! They add the Book of Mormon as well as other works to the cannon of scripture, such as the Book of Moses and the Book of Abraham which both spell out doctrine unknown to most Christians. I challenge these works!

Also,

My ministry is to paint an honest picture of these three branches of religion. Which if they had done so, there would be no need for my articles. For example: the Jehovah’s Witnesses have tried so very hard to hide the fact that they once taught the Second Coming of Christ took place in 1874.

Simon, please go to BING, put in the words jw 1874

My JW article is #1 out of all the articles on the subject. Why? Perhaps it is because I tell a honest story and people like to hear works from that perspective rather than the covered up sugarcoated history that they get from JW sources.

I do the same thing with the Mormon works.

I have spent a great deal of my life trying to shed light on the true history of churches who misrepresent their past and make false claims about their authority.

Christ did not hand pick the Jehovah’s Witnesses! Jesus is found outside of Mormonism every day. The truth fears not investigation. I am not turning the light of truth off. It will remain on Mormon history, as well as JW and SDA claims. The articles stay!

Which Christians? Your particular brand? What about the thousands of other denominations and sects?

The Jehovah’s Witness religion claims that all other churches are what make up Babylon and only they are the true church chosen personally by Jesus Christ after a time of testing from October 22nd 1914 to 1918. The selection was made in 1919. I challenge that!

So what? Leave them alone.

The Seventh Day Adventists claim that Christ began his Investigative Judgment on October 22nd 1844 and they are the only true Church — all other Churches who worship God on Sunday have taken the mark of the beast.

So what? That's what we believe. Leave us alone.

Also,

My ministry is to paint an honest picture of these three branches of religion.

I'm sorry, Rich, but your "ministry" does no such thing. It is a ministry of contention, of attacking, and of -- I'm sorry to say -- hate.

Let people believe what they want to believe, and leave them alone.

Simon, why don't Mormon's practice what you preach?

Simon, why don't you practice what you preach?

A response to Simon’s request that I remove all of my articles on other religions:

# 1. First of all I do not have a particular brand of Christianity. I accept all people who call themselves Christians as my spiritual brothers and sisters. Yet, if one of them starts a church and claims they alone have the truth, I may challenge their teaching.

#2. As well as the other articles on my site, Simon wants me to pull my article on the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In this article I document an event where they said Christ would return in 1874. Some 60 years later they changed the teaching and covered up their past history. I bring that history to light. Because they also claim that they alone have the truth and you cannot be saved unless you become a Jehovah’s Witness.

Simon wants me to take the article down!

Let us fast forward to today:

Harold Camping made a similar claim when he told the world that in no uncertain terms Jesus would return in 2011 on May 21st at 6 pm.

One man spent $140,000.00 of his own money promoting this message with billboards. In all, over 100,000,000.00 was spent on the campaign. People’s lives were ruined over this man’s false claim. Now the man claims the end will come 5 months later than he said.

I have a right to let people know that Harold Camping has failed in the past. My motives are not driven by hate. I am trying to protect people from wasting their lives and resources pursuing the false hopes of a delusional man.

Yet, Simon has a problem with my ministry and is trying to persuade me to keep silent.

One man on a pro JW web site after reading my JW article encouraged everone on the board to read it. He said, every Jehovah’s Witness should read this history.

Again, along similar lines: Before the next person spends $140,000.00 on billboards to promote the October 21, 2001 End of the World, would it be best to let them know of Camping’s last failed prophecy?

One man said:

"Rich - Your [JW] ‘article’ is as thorough, or more so than any of the JW books I have. You are a champion of JW scholarship. That is no exaggeration.

I see you have been complimented by people who are exceptionally qualified in the analysis and critique of sectarian ecclesiastical claims - consider their commendations to be your ‘peer review’, so your explanations, and conclusions stand on solid ground." (Jimi Hendrix)

Note: the review is in my comment’s section. The name was changed to protect the innocent!

If all Christian denominations each have the truth, why are there so many? Why not just one? Mormons are Christians, as are Seventh Day Adventists and Jehova's Witnesses. Accept them as your brothers and sisters and stop attacking them.

So what? Do you know how many failed prophecies are in the Bible?

Leave other religions alone and focus on your own, Rich.

I have a right to let people know that Harold Camping has failed in the past. My motives are not driven by hate. I am trying to protect people from wasting their lives and resources pursuing the false hopes of a delusional man.

People who choose to follow a religion that happens to be different than your particular brand are not "wasting their lives." It is not up to you to protect everyone and save the world. People are responsible for their own choices, as are you. Mormonism helps my family and myself, we are deeply devoted to it and very happy to be in it. Did you choose a denomination that makes you and your family happy? Good! I intend to let you worship how where and what you choose.

Yet, Simon has a problem with my ministry and is trying to persuade me to keep silent.

No, Rich. I am trying to persuade you to build up your own particular brand of Christianity and stop attacking others because they happen to be different.

One man on a pro JW web site after reading my JW article encouraged everone on the board to read it. He said, every Jehovah’s Witness should read this history.

No. It is not your job to rescue everyone from their choices. Are you also going to start predicting the outcomes of the stock market? Many people have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars buying junk stocks, where is your anti-Stock website? What about gambling? Where is your anti-Gambling website?

This man says your article is motivated by hate and inability to accept that which is different from you.

It'd be nice if religious folks would stop pretending that their brand of belief is deserving of special protection. You weren't born Mormon. Mormonism is something you choose to follow. Man up and be prepared to accept criticism, same as if you choose to align yourself with a political party.

It isn't deserving of special protection. Everyone has the right to worship who where and what they may in peace, without people like Rich attacking them.
