Too bad he was lured by the riches of the sports world when he could have chosen the path of righteousness that few other truly faithful members have.

Such a shame.

I guess the SLC LDS church is being "mainstreamed".

Oh MY!

He is not going to serve a mission.

Tsk tsk tsk.. what kind of message is he sending to not only the world, but all of his teen aged adoring LDS fans??

He is already following in the footsteps of Steve Young. No mission, now working on the sabbath for an industry funded by alcohol and sexual promiscuity. Next, put off marriage until after the basketball career in his later 30's?

Hello,

Well, maybe he'll wear his "armor" to set an example for all to follow...

More information, he is now 22. So he chose to not serve a mission well before his current fame.

According to this MormonTimes video, his mother is not a Mormon. Perhaps that has something to do with his not serving a mission?

Since he did not serve a mission and is not married, he is probably not "endowed".

This is to his advantage so that he does not get heckled by his fellow Sacramento Kings in the locker room where they would they see him donning the chapel chaps!

How much work will it be drinking Gatorade and passing out towels? I see no sabbath violation here.

He has a different calling. His bro, Jesus sat down with him in the pre-existence and foreordained him to be a sports missionary. You know, the options are: service mission, sports mission, theology spreading mission.

Porter, do you say "tsk tsk tsk" in real life? LOL

Isn't it interesting that in this Mormon Times report, God was mentioned one time. And that, with a "he". The gospel mentiond about 8 times and the church 10 times.

*snort*

C'mon he is playing for the Kings.

Of all the teams he could have picked, I am surprised he did not go with the Mormon member owned Utah Jazz.

The Maloof family, who own the Sacramento Kings, among other business ventures owns a large casino, The Palms Casino Resort, in Las Vegas.

Yeah, hello, he is a Mormon!

Mormonism is more about LDS Inc than it is about Christianity.
