Oh I was also going to mention the the Church said nothing about this, at least that I heard. Not a peep. Not contact state leaders, yada, yada.

I'm not in Utah. My state is a tad more liberal than that. Not much but, tad.

Perhaps the Brethren can be taught? Perhaps California was a lesson learned?

I just realized what you meant by the above post.
Yeah, umm like what is with LDS Inc?? They spent months if not years assembling an army to fight the same thing in California, but in NY, the friggin birthplace of Mormonism, they don't even denounce it on their LDS News site?
Strange.
Perhaps Thommy the great prophet was told by God that it was not worth the fight?

NY is very far away from COB and California houses many more members than NY. Plus, Gaga came from there so I think the church believes NY is already done for. They are beyond help, no? Why invest money in a lost cause?

More conservative than Utah? Does such a place exist? (Deep South maybe?)
(I'm in KY which is pretty conservative but not as bad as some places. PM me if you don't want to say on board.)
