Radio Free Mormon Magic and Book of Mormon Translation

This podcast, and part 2 contain some of the most significant break-throughs on how Joseph's translation of the Book of Mormon was carried out I have ever come across. It is superb. No wonder the most intelligent people have been fooled into believing! VERY WELL done RFM! What makes this is RFM bringing to bear onto the issue his own background of being a Magician. Think James Randi and his doing the same thing when exposing Uri Geller. I had not quite put it together so well as RFM does here, including the use of props and how Smith did it. Very interesting! So much more makes so much more sense about the process now that I have seen how it looks through a Magician's eyes. Really enlightening! RFM, you seriously have done a wonderful service for mankind here.

Too bad the old board is defunct. This was a great thread.

It doesn't explain it away, it explains it.

You have to assume the Book of Mormon is some monumental achievement worthy of supernatural explanation.

It is not. 99% of humanity is unaware of its existence, and 99% of people who have read the Book of Mormon have walked away completely bored. There is one in every Mariot end-table across tens of thousands of hotel rooms. The book is not burning through the population like the New Testament did.

Compared to the Bible and L.Ron Hubbard's "Dianetics", the Book of Mormon is much, much closer to Dianetics than The Bible.

And, this couple of podcasts by RFM helps explain one of the true anomalies and mysteries of Joseph Smith! He never ONCE ever used it as a basis of a sermon. He never referred to it at all for any kind of theological material lessons to anyone, private or public. That is very, ***very*** odd. Yet if he knew he was faking it and fooling literally everyone with cheap magic, why would he bother paying attention to it? That was ancient stuff, he had even newer more recent revelations to pretend to and convince people he was a new Moses!

I mean… if it were Thomas Riskas who figured it out, you’d have something there. That dude is a demigod.

The tithing must flow!

Kerry, I am currently watching your newest video driving and eating chicken and I am wondering what you think of Korean Fried Chicken. I am wondering if KFC should head the local Korean place and see what truth and flavor could be added, for those willing to experience its goodness.
