God's Plan and Chosen People

Doesn't it seem strange that God's plan for salvation based of life choices would co-exist with the notion of there being a Chosen People and adopted offshoots?
Does this mean that the idea of some being more and less valiant in the Heaven War is still alive and kicking?

Seems like it got revised a bit when the blacks were allowed the priesthood. I guess you could say the the goal posts were moved so they were no longer on the sidelines.

No, it's just that race is not and probably never has been the primary indicator of pre-mortal valiance. There were still the more valiant and less valiant there. The more valiant tend to go to the Chosen People though of course not exclusively. Premortal valiance is an indicator of spiritual potential but many of them arrive here and become colossal screw-ups. Such is life.

Too bad all those LDS prophets couldn't distinguish false doctrine from true, eh?

You don't have a lot of respect for converts, do you, Nehor?

Not at all, it allowed people to grow.

Most converts are the Chosen People. I'm a Gentile by culture and the Book of Mormon makes it very clear the Chosen People of this land are the descendants of Father Lehi who we will aid in building the Holy City. My group is a preliminary sideshow. I'm under no delusions as to my importance in the grand scheme of things.
On a personal note, I resent your self-righteous insult. For the past few years my calling has involved missionary work and I've seen many touched by the Holy Ghost, repent, and be baptized. Many of them are far better people then I am and I know this.
Unlike you, I have a few shreds of humility. I don't spend my time imagining faults in everyone I encounter or hear about. You've turned self-righteous superiority into an artform as you denounce men you've never met for actions you don't understand. So please stop projecting your faults onto me.

False doctrine allowed people to grow?

No but the need for direct revelation was emphasized...something too easily forgotten.
