in the case of walgeens it was owned by the Mormon church at one point, and then sold to a wealthy member. However you wont find the religious affiliation of the ceo's past or present online because they have enough money to hide it.

What about the mainstream media? Hasn't it been proven to be in the pocket of leftwing interests? Does it not advance the leftwing pov?

My point being is that everyone tries to control the message. There is no such thing as neutrality in this respect. Never will be. So I have no problem if the Church tries to control it's messege. If they don't, someone else not necessarily committed to the truth will.

You think the church is controlling access to information on the internet? Is there any conspiracy theory you don't like?

If by 'pressure' you mean 'ask' then this does sometimes happen. Some here imagine that asking politely for money is pressure. Perhaps they are so feeble and weak-willed that for them it is. Few of the wealthy in the Church fall into that category.

why have money if you cannot do anything with it? derr... is the church going to collect all the money as well as stop new money from being printed?

as far as looking for information through a search engine. all of those results conform to corporate interests. my neighbor who lives down the street owns 7 google shares and 3 ask.com shares. they conform to his interests as well ;) buying top search results as well as blocking websites from coming up with a general search is all part of how internet money is made.

now you are off subject. i said the church has the power to stop certain things from showing up on the internet.

and gay marriage isn't a petty issue it brings converts.

from my own experiences i recall many single mothers in utah who moved here and became LDS after their husbands surprised them with their long suppressed homosexual desires. that story is all too common.

i don't have to verify the fact utah was a major landing pad for women to live after their husbands turned out to be gay. if you haven't heard that story in your own life at least twice you must be living under a rock.

read the subject. clearly stating church expenses.
