I thought of leaving the church until I read....

A few years ago I thought of leaving the church. I read about Joseph Smith and it affected me greatly. But after posting on the postmo site and after being treated badly by postmo posters and banned and after posting on NOM and after being treated poorly by NOM posters and banned, I came to the conclusion that being a critic is just awful because it gives one permission to treat others badly. And so, I want to thank posters like Polygamy Porter for helping me stay in the church. It is because of posters like Polygamy Porter and others like him that caused me to rethink my decision and defend the LDS church.
Thank you ldstoronto for getting me to think why I remain a Mormon.

Why me, I'm glad those websites kept you a Mormon, too. I won't elaborate.

Well they didn't do a particularly good job of helping you stay in the LDS church since you say you go to a Catholic church.

This is a good point zee and you take on the persona of many critics when you ask this question. Here is my experience: those who usually leave the LDS church over some historical fact etc were usually the most fanatical TBMs that one could imagine. I know perfectly well what the taliban TBMs who have left the church and who now post on this board, NOM or the exmo site think of me as a Mormon.
And they would have felt the same way as a fanatical TBM. The apple does not fall far from the tree.

Are you saying that the reason you remain a Mormon is because you have been banned and/or have been treated poorly by other posters on internet boards?
Sorry if I am not understanding you.

Tell me whyme, did you masturbate before or after parleying this l blatant lie?
in my opinion, until I see some attempt at you keeping your covenants that you made as a member, please do us all a favor and get the f*** out of here.
I am sure that you were a taliban Mormon when you were a member. Here is a fact: If the postmos at that time of Ricks and company were pleasant and understanding I may would have found a home. But those guys were so critical of my inactivity and finding positives in the LDS church, that I just did not want to be like them.
And look at you? I would never want to be like you with your crappy sentences and judgementalisms.

Here is what I am saying: the behavior of exmos and postmos who post on internet boards leaves much to be desired. Why would anyone want to be the way they are? When I was treated crappy and judged wrongly, I decided to search more on the internet and I found FAIR and their discussion board. I liked it. True, the postmos predicted that I would be banned the first week but they were wrong.
Exmos and postmos who post on the internet are by and large extremely judgemental when I inform them of my inactivity in the LDS church. In fact, they hate that I am inactive and defend the LDS church. And I can assure you that many of these critics would have found me wanting as a member if they were in my ward. The apple does not fall far from the tree.
Fortunately I know many Mormons who were/are not like them as members. They are kind, understanding and considerate of my inactivity and attendance in the catholic church. No problem
