The recording industry was able to lobby enough donation seeking members of Congress to pass the DMCA. None of the Congressmen thought the matter through sufficiently to see that its passage would someday lead to message board terrorism by someone with a permanent burr under their saddle.

Ban Joseph. Ban his brother. Ban anyone else who threatens our freedom of speech with frivolous DMCA attacks. Embrace the paradox of being tolerant of all except the intolerant. The time has come.

No kidding. Artists, writers, intellectuals and other creatives support the EFF and copyleft. Greedy and corrupt corporations favor DMCA. Anyone with any knowledge of art history, contemporary culture or social media education understands this.

From the Ernest L. Wilkinson Diaries: "ELW dreams he's spattered w/ grease. Hundreds steal his greasy pants."
When have I done a DMCA takedown notice on these boards?
I have been the voice of warning about the illegal use of images that could lead to a DMCA notice.
And no, not all artists want to get rid of copyright protection. Doing so would open them to stealing worse than a few on here do.
So keep preaching about free speech and freedom of expression while you march ever closer to Third Reich and Communist ideals. What's next, you will try to find out what books I like and start burning them?

If artists didn't want others looking at, or using their images, they would either not post them on the Internet, or enable simple security features (using Flash is one). Every time you bring this up you show how ignorant you are about the subject.

What's more free... letting everyone post and express what they want, or having you police the Internet?
You don't know what freedom is. You're just a power-hungry fool.
Take your own, use Royalty Free, use images already in the public domain or Get Permission.
Yes simone, it really is just that simple.
Why would you object to something as simple as that?
It isn't up to you to police the Internet. You have neither the knowledge, sensibility, or intelligence to do such a thing. If the artist wants it taken down, then the artist can search for incorrect usage -- not you.
Plus, when I look, my brain records the image! THAT'S STEALING (in your book) JOSEPH!
