Dear Dan, What Mormons are saying about you.

I have contemplated sending a letter to Dan Savage. Frequently Dan will write about what he views as hypocrisy among the "family values" crowd. He is less than kind in writings concerning those people.

So I have considered writing him a letter, to let him know, that not every Mormon acts a certain way or says hateful despitefull things despite the instruction from the LDS Church to not do those things. In the letter I would give the position of LDS Church concerning the manner and disposition of dialogue; being one of respect and building up rather than tearing down.

But I would also point out that individual members of the LDS Church act/say things contrary to what has been directed. My devious side, has contemplated to direct Dan Savage to MAD with the real life names of some there who have ordained themselves to office of "Exempt from Official Statements of TCOJCOLDS if I do not agree with it"; for instance, the negative statements from members of the Church, concerning the LDS Church support for anti-discrimination laws in Salt Lake.

I would point out that "Yes, these individuals are jackasses and ignore the what their Prophet has said, but they are just drops in the bucket of the many other Mormons can peacefully and respectfully co-exist with others".

While the idea is there to write Dan Savage, I just can't seem to formulate the letter. well thanks for reading, just getting things off my mind.

This would be a very bad idea. Please don't do it.
