No, it doesn't. It's completely useless. If I'm responding to a specific post, I don't need to know that another post has been made. If I want to respond to another post, I will. It takes long enough for a new post to go through as it is, without slowing things down further with this feature.

The "You cannot use more than two quotes" is also annoying.
I would like to lodge a complaint about logging in taking me back to the beginning. It's like dying in a video game. You have to start all over and make your way back to where you were.
