Bachmann creates firestorm for joking hurricane is God’s message

I don't know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We've had an earthquake; we've had a hurricane. He said, 'Are you going to start listening to me here?' Listen to the American people because the American people are roaring right now. They know government is on a morbid obesity diet and we've got to rein in the spending.

Yet the most intelligent choice is Bachmann over Obama.

Bachmann is crazy crazy.

I don't care if she was joking. The day we give that woman the keys to our nuclear arsenal and make her commander of the most powerful military on earth is a day I dread.

If Bachmann wins the Republican Primary I'm voting for Obama (my first presidential vote for a Democrat) and will encourage everyone I know to do the same. I don't care if he runs a larger deficit then every past year in the U.S. combined. We would still be safer that way.

I wanted to believe Bachmann was just pandering to her base but once she started hiring outspoken Dominionists (evangelical Christians wanting to make this a Christian churchocracy) I decided I couldn't in good conscience defend her in any way. Since the Dominionist worldview would require either ignoring or destroying the constitution I don't think it's out of line to call these people traitors.

Christians have an obligation, a mandate, a commission, a holy responsibility to reclaim the land for Jesus Christ-to have dominion in the civil structures, just as in every other aspect of life and godliness.

But it is dominion that we are after. Not just a voice. It is dominion we are after. Not just influence. It is dominion we are after. Not just equal time. It is dominion we are after.

World conquest. That’s what Christ has commissioned us to accomplish. We must win the world with the power of the Gospel. And we must never settle for anything less.

At the risk of breaking Godwin's law this makes Hitler's crusade for some Lebensraum look rather petty.

I'm not sure what Bible they are reading. I assume that there is a translation somewhere that insists that people should 'render unto Caesar' only until they could supplant Caesar, disband the Senate, and install Peter as regent of Christ and World Emperor. You'd think Jesus would have spent more time making friends and getting his allies into the Sanhedrin rather then pissing off the government too. Oh well.

Obama's much weaker ties to much less crazy church groups look like a harmless lark by comparison.

Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry are making it obvious that Romney and Huntsman are the chosen people. Wish the Republicans would stick to serving Peter Plutocrat rather than brown nosing Timmy T. Party.

So you're an anti-evangelist? And you won't vote for Bachman because she has those weird affiliations? Ok. That's fair.

I refuse to vote for anyone who is even remotely associated to Warren Jeffs.
