So where is the elusive God Particle a.k.a. the Higg's Boson hiding? Were the resultant physics theories on the wrong track or should they have built the Large Hadron Collider in Salt Lake City, Utah as the most likely location to find potential God Particles without actually hieing to Kolob?

Are there no physics people here?

The standard model in physics is still not very well understood. It may be that, as part of it's fundamental structure, nature is simply too complicated to understand completely. Or, it could be that the Higgs boson is more massive than previously predicted, meaning that it can only be found at even higher energies. Or, the standard model of Physics may have a fundamental flaw or may be currently incomplete.
Even though I do physics research in real life, I don't work much in high energy physics. I could ask some of my colleagues what their thoughts on the matter are and return and report, if there is interest.
