Is this now the standard procedure at LDS Distribution Services?

So they now require a current temple recommend and phone number. After you give the phone number they look it up and ask: Are you David? You are then allowed to purchase the underwear.

Then before everything is totaled they ask: Do you need to renew your magazine subscriptions? And also ask: Do you want to purchase a magazine subscription for someone else?

So what is a person to do if they have no current temple recommend?

Actually, come to think of it, the Church does track underwear use. One of the temple recommend questions is, "Do you wear the temple garment day and night?"
