GC Dalton's talk: driving a spiritual wedge in marriage

No single talk in GC got my wife so fired up than from the YW general president (Dalton) talk in the Sunday morning session. You see while I was sitting there on the couch listening to it with my wife, I felt my wife both physically move away from me and also detach any understanding she may have had concerning me and my belief that I should distance myself from the church.
I listened to most of the conference sessions, attended the PH meeting and have never felt as discouraged and singled out except by what this woman had to say.

Even though I have started a separate thread on this very talk lauding it as a step forward for women, I have to say I also felt uncomfortable with what she was saying and how she said it.
I think, at essence, it said that in order to be a good father, one must be a committed and active LDS priesthood holder.
Not cool. And not true.
And you can tell your my wife I said so.
All the Best!

General conference has always been a pep rally for Mormons. It's like being from Provo High and dating a girl from Orem High and then attending a pep rally for her school. When the speakers talk about how awesome Orem high is and how only losers go to Provo high, of course your girlfriend will move away from you.

Uh, you forgot the part where you tell us just what, exactly, Dalton said.
