The practice of anachronistically projecting your theology

... backwards seems to have been a popular practice in the 19th century. And boy, did Joseph Smith turn it into an art form. Not only were 6th century BC Jews practicing Christians who were all about baptism for the remission of sins, even Adam and Eve were practicing Christians. Of course there was a conspiracy to hush all this up.

Personally, I believe that Moses was a practicing Scientologist. He taught his people the correct principles of Xenu and Thetans, but due to wickedness it is not had today.

The replacement poster known as "joseph," are you?

I take it you've never read Eusebius' defense of Christianity, where he does the same thing? The way he handles Osea/Joshua?

Just to name one Christian apologist as an example. I mean, the ANFs repeatedly asserted such things, even relying upon Sybillian prophecies.

My little rabbit, you know so little.

This just goes to show that mopologists are STILL unable to handle secular criticism. You all still fight like you're arguing with Pastor Stevenson. "But, the Bible." "But, early Christians!" LOL

Such a literate response, yours.

Who the hell is Pastor Stevenson?

My foundation is the scriptures and two millenia of Christian apologia. Yours appears to be a GED.

Hello,

Let's play a game called "Name that Logical Fallacy just used by Yahoo Bot." So far I see three solid ones.

I'll take the guy with the GED over the moron who thinks the scriptures and two millenia of Christian apologia is worth anything more than the paper it's written on any day.

I'd say I'm in pretty good company with people who rely on such things. Go ahead and take that GED's opinion.

Since my point seemed to go over your head, I'll explain it to you. Using the mistakes, irrational behavior, logical fallacies and other errors committed by people you deem important in ancient Christianity and ancient Judaism is not a valid defense of the mistakes, irrational behavior, logical fallacies and other errors committed by Mormon leaders. Excusing Joseph's fallacies by justifying them with the fallacies of others is itself fallacious.

Is that simple enough for you to understand, or should I use smaller words?

Maybe I can help out here, YB.

When your parents catch you drinking and driving, it won't get you out of trouble to say that all the other kids are doing it, too.

All the Best!

P.S. I see Buffalo just put it more eloquently.

Certainly better company than idiotic apologists, yeah... I agree.
