Rick Perry was at a conservative gathering and the preacher introducing Perry reflected on Romney being in a Cult.

This ought to help in the Mormon Missionary effort.

Assuming you meant "ought", yes it will. Opposition always does.

Because opposition gives the illusion of relevance.

Japan attacking Pearl Harbor gave the illusion that we were on the right side of WWII?

The preacher was a Baptist. They've always hated Mormons.

Mormons believe that God was once a man. They believe they can become Gods. They believe and currently practice Celestial polygamy. They believe their God lives on a planet called Kolob. They require members to swear to secret oaths, wear "sacred" underwear and pay 10% of their income annually or loose Celestial Glory. They believe their church is the one and only true church and that Zion will be established in Missouri.

Yeah, I think the preacher had it right. Mormonism is a cult. But it's a cult with a lot of money and so right wingers like the tea party and even George Bush always looked the other way.

Best thing to upset Romney is to ask him straight up at a debate: Are you wearing the Mormon holy garments of the priesthood. Either way, it is going to make people search for it. Guess who is #2 on Google for "Mormon Garments"?

Okay. I am not particularly fond of Mitt Romney as a candidate, but Rick Perry is right wing bat$h!t crazy and he scares the he!! out of me.

As some in the press have opined, Perry is GWB on steroids. So for my part, I hope the cult calling backfires on him and his campaign.

If I have to live in a country where a Republican is entrusted with the nuclear codes, I would rather it be moderate Republican who wears garments than an Armegedddon-anticipating, Evangelical, Day of Prayer fixes everything, nut job.
