Kenco Unfair

Today, I drove up Main Street in SLC, all the way to So. Temple--right through City Creek Mall which straddles Main. There were construction workers picketing with signs reading "Kenco Unfair" and shouting/chanting something I could not make out.

Anyone know what the background on this is?

Kenco: probably a construction company that wants to make more profit for the Prophets by not paying their workers a livable wage (but that's ok....it's Utah).

Your MISQUOTED Brigham Young!!

BY, 1863: "If the white man ... mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so.” – JoD: vol.10 p. 110

BY really said: "If a white dog mixes his blood with a black dog, you get a spotted dog, which is insane, so the penalty for a having a spotted dog is death on the spotted dog...this will always be so!"

Sock,

I have a little personal knowledge about this. The employees claim that Kenco is not paying them for overtime.

What happened is that Kenco's bid was so low (in order to get the project) and the time demands imposed by the Church are so demanding that Kenco is between a rock and a hard place. Basically, no money to pay for overtime and screwed if they can't finish the work in time.

It sounds like it is a real privilege to do construction work for the Church.

I'm sure the lord will bless those construction workers for their overtime labors even if not compensated in filthy lucre. Maybe he will strike dead those trying to foreclose on their home mortgages.
