I have to admit that as a relatively new Catholic I was taken aback at this:

Hard to justify any attempt by the Vatican to support a New World Order or a Central World Bank or any other global authority which individual nations would be subservient to. Doesn't look prudent and seems to be a parody of what Mormons expect of the Whore of Babylon.
Whore of Babylon reveals itself?

I guess the joy of being Catholic is that if the Vatican says something I completely disagree with I can just ignore it ...

I just groaned at the suggestion. More fuel for anti-Catholics. <on knees pleading for smilies>

Anti-Catholics? What do you have to say to be an anti-Catholic?
Hell, most of the Catholics I've met only take it marginally seriously (which is why I find it by far the least objectionable religion around). I guess religion is like wine... the older, the better, but too much of it still makes you an asshole.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
