Is this God?

Post by _Scottie »

I work in IT. In my job, as the sole IT guy, I am programmer, network engineer, server maint, PC repair, etc. Basically I do everything. If it has a cord attached to it, it's my job to maintain it.

I'll bet 4-5 times a month, someone will call me with a problem. As soon as I come down to take a look at it, it works perfectly. The user swears up and down that it wasn't working a minute ago! I tell them it happens all the time.

I believe that it wasn't working. There could be 10,000 different reasons why it wasn't working. Given enough time and resources, I could probably figure out why it wasn't working and come up with a conclusive answer as to what the problem was.

Now, contrast this with medical science. How many times have you heard a Mormon say, "I was healed and the Dr's couldn't explain why!!" I have to imagine that, given enough time and resources, the Dr's could run a battery of tests and figure out exactly why you were healed. They just don't have that kind of time. Thus, they leave with a shrug of the shoulders and write it off as a mystery.

What is my point? That a medical mystery should NOT be any kind of evidence what-so-ever for belief in God any more than my mysterious IT issues solving themselves should be evidence for God.

Or, that God sometimes cares just as much about solving people's IT problems as he does their medical problems. In all seriousness though, that's a clever way to look at things. Thanks for sharing.

I dunno, Scottie. Every time I get the Blue Screen of Death, I'm pretty sure that God is the one who gets me out of it and allows my computer to reboot.

Man Scottie you got to be kidding me! Right? A computer glitch is equal to God Almighty, the creator of heaven and earth and all things upon the face of it. ALL THINGS dude!

That mean he crafted everything in his DNA lab. Hell, he invented DNA. Look at the marvelous construction of a simple bug:

billions of varieties.Perhaps no two are identical. That is just one bug. There are millions of others.
Then consider all the plants.
Then consider all the other animals;
Then consider all the worlds.

Then consider how he coaches humans to learn and advance in spiritual status to come up to a level where we might begin to comprehend God.

All that equals your stupid computer glitch.

I could swear a stream of demeaning oaths to shame your repugnant arrogance into hell.
What a @#$@^&%&*$*(%*(%^#@#!$$%%*((^%*()&%@#&$!@@#*&*#@#^&$@@!$%^&!

This is the problem in the world today. Those who believe are timid and shy to get in the face of blasphemers. What crap!

If a man DNA engineered a new bug, JUST ONE, he would be adored more than Einstein. And God, Man of Holiness, has done all. So much that you refuse to admit it. That is small of you, pal.
