Sustaining the Prophet!

Hey y'all
I was wondering if there has ever been a time when a LDS Prophet was not sustained?
How about any of the Q-12?
If so, could you point me to the right time period? (source maybe)?
Thanks and peace,
Ceeboo

Thanks yahoo,
Could you offer a little more information on this? (It might answer a mystery of mine that someone has shared with me on another playground)
Peace,

Well, that was why there was the breakup after Joseph Smith died. But, Brigham wasn't exactly the "prophet" at that time. Some followed/sustained him, some didn't. It was about half, I've heard.
After the Manifesto that ended the practice of polygamy there was a group who no longer sustained the leadership of the Utah-based LDS church and broke away. FLDS
During Joseph Smith's time there were several instances where quorum members were not sustained and even excommunicated in absentia. I'm not sure that there has ever been a 100% vote against anyone, though.
After the Kirtland anti-bank fiasco I believe that nearly half the Q12 no longer sustained Joseph Smith. I think it was 7 sided with Joseph Smith and 5 did not.
I don't really have sources off the top of my head. Most of this stuff should be documented in the History of the Church, but should also be online. This is just stuff off the top of my head. If there is a specific situation or person you are wondering about let us know.

JSJr wanted Sidney Rigdon kicked out of the First Presidency at the GC that began 10/6/1843 (about 8 months before JSJr was murdered at Carthage). The Church membership as assembled at the GC however sustained Sidney Rigdon to continue as a counselor in the First Presidency, over JSJr's opposition.
JSJr was even then starting to lose his grip over the LDS membership.
You can read about it going
here, searching for "October 6" and reading from there.

Just me and Sock,
Thanks for the replies (very interesting)
I should have been more clear in my OP (sorry). I was asking about the recent past (say 20 years or so).
by the way (Just me), although I don't want to stray way of topic, some recent information that I read seems to offer some pretty solid evidence that polygamy was still authorized by the Prophet, and practiced, for decades after said Manifesto.
Anyhooo, thanks for the replies
Peace,
Ceeboo

Ah, last 20 years. I'm sure that there are individuals that oppose, but we don't ever get to see that. The sustaining vote is more of a formality nowadays. If you oppose there are a couple things they might do, none of which effect the outcome of the person being sustained in their postion/calling.
