Avraham Gileadi - The Forgotten September Sixer

In an unrelated thread I made a reference to Avraham Gileadi, one of the September Six. He is truly the forgotten "September Sixer." Does anyone know what he is doing now?
As an aside, I think they really should now call them the September Five. Let's face it, those who like to bring up the September Six really don't have much use for Avraham Gileadi. He's too conservative, he's not vocal, and he was re-baptized later.

I don't know about that. I'm not sure how the fact that a guy who had a testimony, who really didn't do anything wrong, was disciplined by the church in a public and humiliating fashion. Doesn't really make Packer and his henchmen glow in a positive light, does it? Indeed, I think one reason the treatment of the September Six was so chilling is that none of them deserved what they got, and several of them were self-proclaimed faithful members of the church. It was a ruthless purge by the LDS Inquisition. Gileadi got swept up in it.

Was the activity that got them disciplined significantly different to what we see now from LDS apologists, LDS journalists etc?

Wasn't he disciplined for publicly espousing the view that his own son is "The One Mighty And Strong"?
I wonder whether he privately retains that view still.

He doesn't have much use for the other five, either. He doesn't like being included in the group.

Okay so I had to look it up. These are the September Six
* D. Michael Quinn
* Maxine Hanks
* Paul Toscano
* Lavina Fielding Anderson
* Lynne Kanavel Whitesides
* Avraham Gileadi
Turns out they were all published authors with Signature Books.
It was more to alienate Signature Books from the LDS psyche than punish intellectuals.
Packer was fighting a turf war for Deseret Book. All business no intellectual martyrs.

I imagine that is the case. How did you come by this information, do you have a connection with him?

He said something to that effect in a Sunstone panel whose audio recording I listened to.

He lives down the road from me, and I ran into him about a year ago at the Post Office. He looked well. I know him only from his books.
