I was a little skeptical the moment I noticed the yamaka on a guy who's supposed to be talking science, but thought, meh, no big deal. But I stopped the moment I heard him pronounce 'message' as 'massage.'
Too much.

You could feel the madness creeping up your spine and shut it off before your head exploded. That what you did Schmo

Some fine insight there, NL.

I made it to where he pronounced 'fluctuation' as 'fuctuation' (around 1:40).
I did enjoy this video

I liked it too (despite it being from the Zeitgeist movie - the rest of which kind of sullies this first part). It seems pretty clear to me that even if Jesus was a real guy, there is a ton of myth and legend superimposed over his life. Looks like the gospel writers retrofitted his history with plenty of recycled lore.

He has an authoritative and intelligent sound to his voice.
Unfortunately, the arguments are all old and bad.
There is something serious to object to every thirty seconds or so.
It was particularly annoying when he talked about the question of why would bacterium or early life have "wanted" to reproduce itself when it couldn't have known it was going to die. This is utterly silly.
Molecules and molecular systems that can most effectively reproduce based on their structure will eventually dominate a population as a matter of mathematical necessity. They don't need to "want" anything or be aware of anything. This guy cannot keep himself from anthropomorphizing matter. He really doesn't understand evolution and cannot help thinking about everything on a fully human model of conscious purpose as if nothing complex could happen unless it was driven by a human-like purpose.
By the way, even humans do not reproduce for the reason that they know they are going to die!
His claim about closed universes is bogus also.

So the last thing you could instinctively do when your head began to explode was to derail this thread. That's just mean.

I do not know how old this clip is. I have no idea if he has a rebuttal out there for you guys.
I love him like he was Joseph Science Smith.
You got to appreciate him pointing out the logical fallacy published in the Journal, Science, for the justification for multiple universes because randomness rules in order to get one that "works", that is fine tuned for life, there have to be many more that don't work.. LOL
