Question for Dr Scratch.

Dr Scratch,
I have been given a reason for thinking that over on MAD the poster 'Will Schryver' and the Administrator that goes by the posting name of 'Nemesis' are in fact, one and the same person.
Is that possible?
What would be the implications for how MAD operates?

Hi, Drifting.
The answer is, "Yes: absolutely it's possible." There has for a long time been a theory floating around that Nemesis is/was a kind of "community sock puppet," meaning that different posters log in and engage in moderation as "Nemesis."
In terms of the "implications," it just means that the moderating over there is highly unfair and biased. But we already knew that.

Dr. Scratch, hasn't Nemesis been the grouchiest of the MDD moderators? If so, wouldn't that narrow the list for the moderator shell game at MDD?

I don't know that I'd say that. As I indicated above, my sense is that Nemesis is a "community sock puppet." Sometimes it's obviously Dan_G--the obvious of which is made manifest in the horrible writing skills. And who are the other mods? Skylla? I would guess that's Calmoriah. Ares? LifeOnaPlate. Who else is there? Minos?

Because I have had a lot of experience with Nemesis (PM exchanges directly with Nemesis, him/her playing a very large roll in why I am banned for life at MDDB, and other things), I am entirely convinced (would wager my left ear on it) that Nemesis and William are not the same person.
Not even a possibilty, in my opinion.
It seems clear to me that the one who uses (hides) behind the "Nemesis" label surely controls, manipulates, and has all the power on that board. (Whoever that might be?)
