What, exactly, do you mean by "exploit"? I am not sure that word means what you think it means....

I am the administrator of that private board. This thread has gone on for 8 pages, and this was my first comment.
Considering that Scratch has published whole cloth conversations from my board, which is private, are you saying that I don't have a right to be just a little upset by that?
I am also disappointed in the person who gave Scratch the information. He betrayed the trust of the members of my board in doing so. I have encouraged him to come forward to me privately, and I hope that he considers doing so.

The board was made private for a reason. The fact that anyone is posting whole cloth contents from it without the permission of the posters involved is just plain wrong. I don't care what you call it.

It seems like maybe you should concentrate on the administration of that board, especially considering the members of that board seem to think disparaging the members of this board is acceptable (in not-so-private)...There seems to be a conflict of interest here (especially considering the fact that several of my posts about "that" board ended up being moved to the telestial forum as they did not reflect well on you....a moderator of both boards....) - just a thought.

I'm fairly new here and I still mainly just come on to read the topics and posts. So, I am not very familiar with the members here, their histories with each other and so on.
But just coming in cold here, it really strikes me as being odd that one of the moderators on this forum would break off and start their own "by invitation only" forum.
What is being discussed there that can't be discussed publicly on here? Why so exclusive and secretive?

Umm...what do you mean by "wrong"? Do you mean you don't like it? Do you mean that it makes the posters on that board look silly? Online "privacy" is a myth...

Hi Liz (I have missed your participation here)

Hello, and welcome. :)
It's because this particular Moderator wanted to create a "dream team" of posters that only she likes in order to moderate the conversations to her satisfaction.
In other words, an echo chamber.

Ok....got it. Is she still going to continue being a moderator on this forum? It seems that what she did would sorely undermine her effectiveness or influence on this forum now. The whole thing just strikes me as being a crumby thing to do.
Did someone offend her on here?
(And thanks for the welcome....I like it here!!)

Maybe this is sour grapes because I wasn't invited to the new board ... but after quickly scanning the 1st page of this thread, I had the same question: what is all this for? And who needs it?
I did notice this little gem from DCP:
I'm tired of being the topic, myself. I'm tired of the personal criticisms from people who don't know me at all.
I wouldn't put up with such drivel in real life. I can't think of any real reason to keep coming back to a message board where it's a significant feature.
Dan and Stem; so different and yet so alike.
