Why do the Articles of Faith not count as a creed?

Although canonized, on what issues has the LDS Church hedged on statements in the Articles of Faith?

I'm not looking so much for instances of their violation (e.g., JSJr's illegal "wives"), but more for what aspects of the Articles are no longer espoused by the LDS Church.

The literal gathering of Israel/Zion stuff is gone now. It's "gather wherever you happen to live."

Although you might not know it by listening to the Prophets, Seers, and Revelators, when you talk to their apologists you quickly discover that they don't in fact believe that the Bible is correct but for some translation problems.
