Mormonism said no to all the fun

Post by _Rambo »

They made some of the funniest things to do in this world a sin. Is kind of weird when you think of it. These men who say they talked to God told us that God does not want us to do these things. If you think of it from a non believing side this is a really weird thing because these are just the ideas of these men. Why would these men not want us to have fun?

All I know is a lot of Mormons are missing out on a lot of good times. It's actually a completely different world outside Mormonism. I never really thought how different it is. Sure these things aren't life it self and doesn't really give you happiness but they do add to the life experience a lot. These different life experiences gives me good memories and adds to my happiness.

You would think to get a bunch of followers in your church you would say yes to all the fun. If I started a church the rules would be pretty much opposite of the Mormon church. Well except following the law and living the golden rule. Everything else is fair game!

"Funniest?" Do you mean "funnest?"
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Nope. Light-mindedness and loud laughter are sins.

A picture-perfect world centered on conservative family values; to create a real life Mayberry. This is the ideal. Unfortunately what happens to individuals parallels what happens to the history itself. The dirt swept under the rug appears all the more hideous upon discovery.

I guess I could mean both. When you do some of the funnest things they are sometimes the funniest as well.

Such as? You have sex on the brain? As a married LDS person, I can have all the sex I want without sinning.

What about people who think it's fun to steal or murder? Should they have their fun?

And there's the problem - the Mormon tendency to regard having sex without their permission as akin to stealing and murder.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

Not true at all. Marriages outside the temple or the Church are recognized.

Always

wow BCspace you have not lived.

what fun can you have not being Mormon!

If your not married you can have sex! I would say that's fun.
You can drink once and a while which can be a ton of fun.
You can smoke weed. Yeah ok that's against the law but most people want to change that.
You can masturbate without guilt.
You can drink as much caffeine as you want. (I know it's not official doctrine to stay away from caffeine but I felt guilty if I had to much).
You get to play on sundays! That'a a whole day and way more free time for fun.
You don't have to do a calling which can take up a crap load of time.
You can wear more comfortable underwear which is fun. The girls look nasty in garments so it's way more fun for the guy to see her in nice underwear and I think it's fun for her.

What's fun to you BC?

Hometeaching?
Going to the temple?
Reading scriptures?
Saying your prayers?
Going to church?
Doing your calling?

All that is to me is a bunch of zzzzzz's. I've been there and done that and it was so freakin boring. Most members think it is boring as well. When they don't know your an apostate they will be quick to tell you how boring church is if you open up and say it's boring too. I have noticed now though they have done an about turn because they know I don't go and they talk opposite about the church. Now they say how it was soo good. It's really funny when you think of it. When Mormons think you are one of them the will be honest and tell you how boring church is but as soon as you leave they will tell you about how great church is. I understand why they do this but it's just kind of funny.
