Ok, I changed the topic here a little. Let's make a list of LDSrelated questions that would prove difficult for Mitt Romney or if Romney refuses to answer, for the PR folks at the LDS Newsroom during the General Election.
I'll start:
Mr. Romney, isn't it true that you believe that three people who were born more than 1500 years ago have not died and are still roaming the earth? (Three Nephites)
Mr. Romney, did you agree with your Church leaders when they thought Native Americans would turn white if they became Mormon?
More?

As a temple going Mormon would you see your office as President of the United States as falling under your covenant to consecrate your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Mr. Romney:
Do you feel that your church owes Jews an apology for
performing baptisms for their dead relatives contrary to their wishes and
being Nazi sympathizers?
Why, in your opinion, has the LDS Church never apologized to Jews for either of the above, or to people of black African heritage for being denied the priesthood for most of the time that Mormonism has existed?

Was it a mistake for your church to deny blacks full participation in the church until 1978?
If an interviewer could really nail him down on this question he'd either be (a) forced to throw the church under the bus or (b) say it was God's will.
If he chooses (a) it questions the validity of the revelation by which the church run. If the leaders were wrong about this, then they could be wrong about anything.
If he chooses (b) people will think that he believes in a God who is a racist.
If I was his political opponent I would bring this up every opportunity I had. The explanations from apologists about the pre-mortal existence or that 'we just don't know' will not satisfy the average american. Even as a TBM I had a hard time swallowing them in an effort to save my faith.

If your Prophet informs you that Jesus requests a change in the law would you act upon it?
In a conflict between Mormonism and the American national interest who's side would you be on?
Do you believe that women, primarily, should be focussed on child birth and home making?
Do you believe women should have positions of real leadership within organizations?
Do you believe in a literal global flood that took place less than 5,000 years ago?
Why did you actively support and promote a religion that discriminated against people because of the colour of their skin?

This one may actually gain him support from the considerable constituency of those who like to hear that their politicians 'believe in the Bible'.
I am sure I have see a record of him stating in an interview some years ago that this is one of the characteristics of his Mormon belief, but I have never been able to trace a transcript.

He's a politician.
He will not agree or disagree with anything that could potentially result in a net loss of voters.
