Minos chastises Mike Reed with the following:
I have repeatedly asked Xander to stop using "Mormon apologists" as a slur to no avail. Anti-Mormon is the other side of the same coin so it is up to those who misuse "apologist" to decide whether "anti-Mormon" is used.
And on another thread Minos asserts:
Well done.
One quick reminder Kevin, once you bring "apologists" into the discussion to describe a group of people instead of using their individual work, everyone else is free to do the same with "anti-Mormon". I hope you will keep your threads under control by not inviting this.
Please remember, fellow critics, to refrain from referring to our opponents by their elected job title. In other words, keep the slurs to yourself.

Self-elected at that. The problem is not calling people who defend their faith apologists. That is just using correct terminology. The problem is painting all apologists with the same brush.

This is precisely why the term "Mopologist" is useful.

It is interesting that the scholars of the Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research object to being called apologists.

Incisive and devastating, Dean, in showing their duplicitous nature.

I like the hypocrisy and unChrist behaviour they promote over at MDB.
I would really like to know their Doctrinal or even Scriptural basis for still living the Law of Moses (eye for eye; if you call me apologist, I can call you anti-mormon) rather than the Higher Law.
Oh well people can choose to live how they please I only mind when someone does not acknowledge they hypocrisy.

It's interesting to see a word become a slur simply because of the tone in which it's used. "Apple" could become a slur if used enough and in a particular way to denigrate someone.
Mormons are apples.

And one wonders what else they should be called as they make a defense (apologia) of their beliefs.

I agree with Minos. "Mormon apologist" is definitely a slur. It's like calling someone a prostitute.
