Prophecy is coming true

Post by _DarkHelmet »

People are scrambling for emergency supplies.

If only these people had listened to the LDS prophets, they would have their years supply of food and emergency supplies in place already. I don't know who feels dumber, the people who are buying emergency supplies now, or the Mormons who have spent tons and tons of money refreshing their emercency supplies for 30+ years when it would have been a lot cheaper if the prophet gave them only 2 or 3 years notice instead.

My plan is to buy lots of guns and rob, at gunpoint, any provisions I need from my neighbors. Much cheaper in the long run.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Has anyone noticed LDS shifting towards more of a 72-hr emergency kit and away from the 1-yr hoard?

It also seemed to me, more emphasis was starting to be placed on creating a liquid savings for emergencies than on buying buckets of raw beans.

Lots of reasons for the shift:

1. Most people don't have room for a year's supply of food.

2. Few people actually cook anymore. It's much easier to pick up dinner at the drive through than cook anything.

3. Nobody was following the advice anyway, so shrinking the time frame fits well with current natural catastrophes.

4. That which stores well doesn't taste good; that which tastes good doesn't store well.

5. Women don't have time to actually bake bread anymore.

6. People are faithless, and want things like big screen tv's and X-box systems instead of wanting to follow the prophet's edicts.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I've witnessed a thousand pounds of old rotted wheat being dumped out.

Stupid prophets. They are the dumbest men of the earth! May they ever shut their mouths and stop wasting people's money. Mormon prophets are a joke. They are like clowns performing an act at the pulpit to make everyone gasp or laugh.

Mormon prophets are like a circus act gone bad. What a joke.

Mr. Stakhanovite would have drank it.

That's gross.

The only whiskey I dare drink is Jack Daniels or Crown Royal.

Yes, the 30+ years of no need for that 1 or 2 year food supply looks like prophecy that glanced off the mark, and has been unfulfilled. Since 2 or 3 years notice from a Mormon prophet, you know, one that 'god is communicating with', would have made much more sense for the faithful.

I wonder who really profited from this advice from the Mormon prophets, seers and revelators? Did GBH have a big investment in companies that provided products catering to LDS that were assembling and keeping these food supplies?

Also, is the Mormon prophet like the boy who cried wolf? Now, if god did tell the Mormon prophet of an imminent need that people would have for such a food supply, would people justifiably think he is just 'crying wolf' again?

You're missing some good stuff, Paul (Maker's Mark?). How do you feel about single malt scotch?

Q,

I have a testimony that Crown Royal is the only true whiskey. It has the authority to make my tongue tingle with joy -- and the holy ghost makes the whiskey dance on each taste bud. Praise Jesus, and the very alcoholic buds on my tongue follow Christ in the bottle.

I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
