Who's really in charge of LDS Church now?

Post by _sock puppet »

There have been times when the Church has, operationally speaking, been managed by one of the FP Counselors rather than the President himself, usually due to the feebleness of age.

So, in this regard, are the shots today being called by:

TSM?

HBE?

DFU?

BKP? (not part of FP, but seemingly a very powerful Pres of 12)

Shouldn't Christ be at the controls?

When has that been evident? A year ago right now when that mother and her child were being evicted from their hotel-home in Ogden for LDS urban renewal? Anytime the LDS Church approves another multi-million dollar change order on City Creek Mall?

Not included as an option because of the obvious.

In which case my vote goes on David Burton Presiding Bishop.

What makes you say that?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Why?

The Corporation of the Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is in charge of the Church's business interests.

He controls the purse strings.
Whoever is in charge of the finances has direct and compelling influence on the strategic direction and tactical decisions of the organization.

It was assigned a task to Judas. Among other things...

John 13 wrote: 27. ... Then said Jesus unto him. That thou doest, do quickly.
28. Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
29. For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
