Hello Folks!
It's that time again! Time your share your best seasonal recipe's for anything and everything! People food, dog treats, we'll take it all!
As you might recall, on last years thread,

Good news! It's only taken me a year to start it! :-D
It's been hiding out in my cupboard in 2 secret Mason jars, ever since the first week of October and boy, does it look ever so cool! I've taken it out almost every day (when no one is looking!) and given it a little shake justlike justme said to do!
It looks a little like this:

Seeing how right the incredibly creative justme was about Vanilla Extract, I decided to go hunting around to see what else I might do with the rest of my Vanilla Beans and this lead to my personal discovery of...
Vanilla Sugar!
Oh yeah!
Of course, justme knew about this the whole time! That's right, folks, she was holding back yet another cool and easy recipe! We shall mercifully give her ample opportunity to redeem her greedy self on this very thread!
I found a nice example of this on my favoriteblogofalltime, "A Beach Cottage", and guess what?

More Mason jars! Look, if you can stuff it into a Mason jar, I'm totally good with it!

I bought a very tiny frying pan that is pretty much exactly the same diameter as a Sandwich Thin. I'll put a dab of butter in it when it's hot, and swirl the butter around the pan to make sure the whole cooking surface is coated.
I then add a single egg, break the yolk and stir it around a little, and add some salt and freshly ground pepper. I take two strips of turkey bacon and cut them up with kitchen shears and sprinkle it onto the liquid egg. Cover it with a lid for a minute or so, and then turn it over when ready. I'll take a slice of Jarlsberg cheese and put it on, and cover it with the lid again.
Lightly toast, or even just warm up a whole wheat sandwich thin. Remove the lid from the tiny frying pan and savor the beautiful sight of the fried egg covered with a thin molten layer of cheese. Slide the egg out of the pan onto the sandwich thin, and enjoy.
75 calories for the egg, 70 calories for the turkey bacon, probably 100 calories for the slice of cheese, and 100 calories for the sandwich thin. Round it up a little to account for the dab of butter in the pan, and call it 375-400 calories. Delicious sandwich, and helps turn an overall low-calorie daily food intake into a pleasure, instead of a bore.

Manly-Man Hot Ginger Tea
You need: ginger root, stick cinnamon, nutmeg cloves, cardamom, honey.
Slice washed, fresh ginger root as thinly as you can. Maybe a cup-and-a-half or two.
Start about a quart of water on the stove. High.
Add the sliced ginger to the water.
Add four or five sticks cinnamon, a tablespoon whole nutmeg cloves, a teaspoon cardamom.
Optional lemon zest (for you men: that’s grated lemon peel).
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for fifteen or twenty minutes.
Strain. Serve. Add brown sugar or honey to taste.
This is a spicy hot, full-bodied, low calorie, no caffeine, cold weather drink that’ll make your mouth tingle. Plus, ginger has great medicinal (health food) qualities. I make this drink at least once a week in the winter.

Holy crap, Morley, that tea actually sounds pretty good! Ima have to make some. I drink a lot of herbal teas, and my favorite mixes lately have been two bags, one being a lemon/ginger blend, and the other either a mint medley or something like mandarin orange spice. Sounds tamer than your recipe, but the hint of ginger in this blend tells me your recipe will be awesome.

I have a Corn and Shrimp salad that I make every holiday season. The kids love it, and always insist I make it at both Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is my Mom's recipie:
Ingredients:
6 cans vacuum packed sweet corn
3 packages cooked, de-veined frozen salad shrimp
1 head of lettuce or large bag of salad mix
4 generous tablespoons of Hellman's mayonaise
Run shrimp under cold water to defrost.
Blend shrimp, corn, and mayo into large bowl. Refrigerate overnight, or for a minimum of 2 hours.
Add lettuce immediately before service.

Liz's Dad's World Famous Salsa
This is a favorite for any time of year. It is especially popular with my family on Super Bowl Sunday:
1 bottle Heinz Chilli Sauce
2 large cans Italian style stewed tomoatoes
1/2 cup green onions, chopped finely
3-4 dashes Worchester sauce
1/8 cup garlic powder
1/8 cup Montreal steak seasoning
2 tablespoons lime juice
Combine ingredients in large bowl. Refrigerate overnight or for a minimum of 1 hour.
Serve with tortillia/corn chips or as a garnish for tacos.
