Have we Lost our Entrepreneurial Spirit

What has become of the American Way? Have we totally lost our Entrepreneurial Spirit? Have we Embraced the Quick-fix so much that we no longer even try to do it ourselves? Are we that Lazy that we expect someone else to find the solution for us?
I remember a time when if you needed an oil change you did it yourself. Or if your fence needed mending your mended it.
Yep, gone are the days when if you needed saving you saved yourself. If you needed a good Religion you created one for yourself. Not these new slick pre-packaged ready made Religions but a good honest self serving, self saving, self satisfying God fearing one.
Mormonism, Catholicism, Protestant, all the new fangled, guilt ridden, money grabbing, poor hating, bureaucratic crap now days just can't match a good old self taught, self promoted, self assuring Religion.
To promote a phrase, Give me that Old Time Religion.

If you want to be an entrepreneur these days you need to find a web based business. Low investment and an easily available market. Maybe religious services on the web? Sunday mornings on
http://www.quasisgod.com?

Me too. Now there is the problem of disposing of the old oil. You can't just toss a container of it in the trash... hazardous waste.

I'll start one tomorrow. Interested in donating a little tithing? I can guarantee you eternal paradise (go to
http://www.quasisgod.com... please fill out the enrollment form and list your credit card number).

Hard to argue with.
To promote a phrase, Give me that Old Time Religion.
Especially if it's one of my own invention and will provide me with a great income. Praise the Lord.

Internet you say? Yeah, that's the ticket. Need absolution click the mouse. Need confessing to sooth the soul, blog it. Need new pew partners, set up a web page and friend them. Need a specific day for Armageddon, post it on the web and if you're wrong, someone hacked your site.
I'm with you brother.

All kidding aside, Mighty Builder, this could be a profitable enterprise. If you only get .001 % of the people on the internet to sign up you will be a billionaire overnight.
No need to produce a product or deliver anything other than "good tidings" and promises of an afterlife.

Wish I had time for such an enterprise Quasimodo. But between the new Mormon temples, City Creek Center and other projects I am too busy serving Mormon Jesus to get in on his racket.

"As long as one Wheeler Dealer breathes air on Arrakis, we will never be free from Entrepreneurialism."

There is no "Mormon Jesus." There is only Jesus.

Simon, where is your sense of humor? I know you have one. I've seen it.
And, what about Jesus Gonzales? His family converted to Mormonism just before he was born.

Simon, your religio-centricity is well-established and known far and wide. We all understand why you pedantically claim 'there is only Jesus.
Perhaps you could understand that the term "Mormon Jesus" is used to denote the specific Mormon teachings about Jesus, as compared to what other groups and peoples understand and teach about Jesus. There is no reason to have your Mormon defensive hackles up. It sort of makes you look like an uptight ninny that you don't get it.

Sort of?
