Bodiless SMACKDOWN: Holy Ghost v Satan

In this corner, we have the Holy Ghost. No body, but said to be a mighty influence for good.

Of the billions and billions of hosts of heaven, the 2/3's that chose Jesus' plan over Satan's and have come to this earth and received a body, about 14 million have accepted HG's influence. Of that, about 25%, or 3.5 million, yet active LDS.

And in this corner, we have Lucifer. No body either, but supposedly the author of all lies, and one that has a 'hold on' many of those with bodies on this planet.

His record is he already has 1/3 of the hosts of heaven from the preexistence. Of those other 2/3's that initially rejected Lucifer, he's kicking butts and taking names. Billions and billions more. Even among those that first rejected him and then have in this mortal existence accepted 'the Gospel', Lucifer has about a 3 to 1 edge in inactives over yet actives.

Ladies and Gentlement, let's get ready to ruuummmmbbbbllllle!

* * * * *

Okay, so how did Lucifer get so much power that as just a spirit he seems to have a hold on so many more people than the Holy Ghost has successfully convinced?

Yeah, it is hard to get beyond the point of laughing at that vignette.

Are you implying Santa is really Satan? Was somebody dyslexic when handing out names?

Quite possibly!

When my brother emailed me that video, I thought I would never stop laughing! It is not a great video for kids, but it is awesome! The South Park writers have a wicked sense of humor!

Anyone know how Satan got so much power, particularly powerful when you stack him up against the Holy Ghost's record?

Here are the scores (bearing in mind we are now in last dispensatory overtime)

Satan 99.8%
Holy Ghost 00.2%

I think all bets are off

Satan's program is 99.8% more fun.

It's worse. The Holy Ghost only has Nightlion. All else are fails.

Satan is a god with his own set of priesthoods. Plus, he must have money.

His apron is way cooler, too.

I don't know, justme, that's got to be good for some mega points.

(The Resurrection from Matthias Grünewald's Isenheim altarpiece, 1515. No direct connection to the discussion, but seemed appropriate nevertheless)
