The Most Perfect Book on Earth

This is how the LDS tout the Book of Mormon.

Yet the LDS Church operates much more along the lines of organization set forth in the D&C than church institutions described in the Book of Mormon.

Yet also the LDS Church's teachings that set it apart from other religions are much more contained in the PoGP (and D&C) than what teachings are contained in the Book of Mormon.

So, shouldn't the LDS tout the D&C and PoGP over the Book of Mormon in 'perfection'?

And why is it that after he finished the Book of Mormon Joseph Smith seems to have completely ignored the book in his writings and speeches?

Why did 'the most correct book' about God and Christ need to be corrected about the nature of the relationship between God and Christ?

Is this an example of podiatry marksmanship?
