They just don't make prophets the way they used to.

From this months Ensign "Great Lives Remembered"

President Lorenzo Snow (1814-1901)

"He also used the priesthood to raise several people from the dead."

"During President Snow’s time as prophet, Latter-day Saints in southern Utah were suffering from a drought. While speaking at a conference in the southern Utah town of St. George, President Snow was inspired to promise the Saints that it would rain and they would enjoy a bountiful harvest if they would pay tithing. Though the members paid their tithing, several months passed without rain. President Snow implored Heavenly Father to send rain. Later he received a telegram announcing, “Rain in St. George.” "

A miracle indeed that it rained "several months" after everyone paid their tithing.
No mention of a 57 year old Snow marrying 15 year old Sarah Minnie Ephramina Jensen to be his wife #9.

Found one,

Using the Priesthood to Comfort: A Miracle
In March 1891, during the time Elder Snow was holding a stake conference in Brigham City, a fifteen-year-old girl named Ella Jensen passed away. She had suffered with scarlet fever for over a week. She knew she was going to die and said good-bye to her family. She could hear her parents and others weeping, which troubled her greatly. Her spirit entered the spirit world and remained there several hours.

While Elder Snow was speaking in conference, a note was handed to him, telling of Ella’s death. He excused himself from the meeting, saying “it was a call to visit some people who were in deep sorrow” (Romney, The Life of Lorenzo Snow, p. 413). Taking Elder Rudger Clawson with him, he accompanied Ella’s father to the Jensen home. They went to the bedroom where the girl lay dead. President Snow asked President Clawson to anoint her, and then blessed her himself, using a “‘very extraordinary expression, in a commanding tone of voice: “Come back, Ella, come back. Your work upon the earth is not yet completed.”’ …

“‘… More than an hour later, after President Snow administered to her, … she opened her eyes. She looked about the room, and [asked,] “Where is he?” [Her parents asked,] “Who?” “Why, Brother Snow,” she replied, “he called me back”’” (Romney, The Life of Lorenzo Snow, pp. 413–15).

He also saw Jesus and, apparently, it was not too sacred to talk about.

Picture and story

Display picture 3-18, President Lorenzo Snow. Explain that while he was President of the Church, he had a personal visit from Jesus Christ in the Salt Lake Temple.

One day when President Lorenzo Snow was walking in the temple with his granddaughter, he told her about the experience. She told the following about their conversation:

“After we left his room and while we were still in the large corridor [hallway], leading into the Celestial room, I was walking several steps ahead of Grandpa when he stopped me, saying, ‘Wait a moment, Allie, I want to tell you something. It was right here that the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to me at the time of the death of President Woodruff. …’

“Then grandpa came a step nearer and held out his left hand and said, ‘He stood right here, about three feet above the floor. It looked as though He stood on a plate of solid gold.’

“Grandpa told me what a glorious personage the Savior is and described His hands, feet, countenance and beautiful white robes, all of which were of such a glory of whiteness and brightness that he could hardly gaze upon Him.

“Then grandpa came another step nearer me and put his right hand on my head and said: ‘Now, granddaughter, I want you to remember that this is the testimony of your grandfather, that he told you with his own lips that he actually saw the Savior here in the Temple, and talked with Him face to face’” (Allie Young Pond, quoted by Ivan J. Barrett, in “He Lives! For We Saw Him,” Ensign, Aug. 1975, p. 20; also in LeRoi C. Snow’s “Remarkable Manifestation to Lorenzo Snow,” in Church News, 2 Apr. 1938, p. 8).

All this begs the question, what does Thomas Monson think of all this?
If he believes these stories he must think that he is not worthy to have these type of experiences. I wonder if the thought ever crosses his mind that maybe the church went into apostasy at some point (manifesto) and the leaders no longer have this type of power?

Meh...more than likely it was tumbaga. Only had the "appearance" of gold.

I wonder if it was one of Moroni's gold plates or was Jesus sort of gravity-defy surfing on a little gold flying saucer?
