How to make garments more desirable

The church should start printing Garment Catalogs with beautiful models posing in them. Boys would "accidentally" get a hold of these and after a few years, start fantasizing about hot women in garments.

Then they get married and voila! the Garment is a keeper!

Dude, there is one flaw in your plan....

No woman looks hot in garments.

It won't work on every boy. The church would be planting seeds in harsh, rocky soil. But there will be a percentage of boys that will like it and those will be keepers.

They could design new variations that look nicer. Get some French fashion designers on staff at COB!

I'm not sure what makes a 'garment' a 'garment'. You know? Like, is it the markings? Or the style? The style has changed over the years, but (and I might be wrong) the markings have remained constant.

So....could a regular bra and panties be made into garments by adding the mark?

Since I was always told that stuff in the temple was "symbolic", why not make the marks "symbolic" as well? You know, like, have a regular pair of panties or boxer briefs with a mark sown on the hem ...with an arrow pointing down to the knee.

OR

How about having the marks tattooed on your body so you can wear any type of undies you want.

OR

If the church is so anti-tattoos (even tattoos that are covered by clothes), temple workers could use a Sharpie to put the marks on your body. Then they could sell "Sacred Sharpies" in their distribution centers so you could keep the marks fresh when they started to fade after a day or two. Different colored Sharpies could be used depending on your mood or season. The possibilities are endless.

I don't know, If you starting conditioning them at an early enough age you can pretty much brainwash them to think anything.

They might if they let the people from Victoria's Secret design them.

Garments were more desirable if they would cease to exist.

in another thread I wrote:
"She was aware that her clothing would need to be modest to cover the temple garment she would be wearing."

[imagine some words here, which would ordain this comment to the outer darkness]

The garments are the things which I never forgive that DAMNED socalledchurch.
And that stupid founder of it.
And that brainless prophetsseersrevelators since then.
And the troglodyte followers.

My wife was and is as attractive as any woman can (by the way we are 66, my age-group know what I speak about... ).
And I should gaze at that disgusting pieces day-by-day, instead of her body...

[some (many) fourletterwords... Hungarian is rich of that words, You should know them all to use them as necessary]

Given the underwear options of the 1840s other than garments, they did not seem that strange or unusual. A real prophet would have foreseen that and placed the markings so that as underwear styles changed, the Mormon underwear could evolve too and yet sport those markings.

Given the high necklines, long sleeves and long leggings, dresses and bloomers of the 1840s dressing fashions when JSJr came up with the idea, Mormons wearing garments could not be detected from other people, those wearing ordinary underwear.

Over time, as fashions have changed, the garment has too. Its leg and arm lengths, the neckline lowered, the type and weight of the material, the advent of two-piecers. Even the rules about when to wear them, and disposing of them, have changed.

But they remain white only. They cover way too much--in part to provide for continued placement of the markings--either for comfort or attractiveness.

I think the real point behind the garments has become to make everyone wearing them less sensual. less titillating, and less enjoyed as eye candy for the opposite sex. If you have less enjoyment in your sex life, you probably enjoy the food at ward socials more, anyway.
