Creeds versus Actions: WWJD? critical race theory or what!
Jesus concerned himself with action, not creeds.
Jesus said to be pure in heart, to mourn with those who mourn, to hunger and thirst after righteousness, and to love your neighbor as yourself, to turn the other cheek, go the extra mile, give to those who asked and care for the poor and needy, pray for their enemies, refrain from judging and to do good for its own sake.
Imagine how our part of the world would be different if instead of setting up checklists of Christian requirements or setting forth claims of exclusivity, if we focused on the simple actions of His message.
Can anyone relate to this?

First of all lil penguin, may I point out that your thread in no way specifically sticks it to Mormons and as such, is extra-topical.
Besides, if Jesus really wanted a more action oriented religious approach, he would not have created study groups.

Apollo Creed started off as a jerk, but as the series went on he became friends with Rocky.

Mormonism tries to find balance between following the pharisees among their leadership while also living a Christ like life. One week the Sunday School lesson will be on the pure love of Christ, the next week it will be about obeying the orders of your priesthood leaders, even if they are wrong.

It's not easy being Mormon.
You prove yourself of the devil and anti-mormon every word you utter, because only the devil perverts facts to make their case.--ldsfaqs (6-24-13)

Well said Moksha. It explains the only Christianity I have faith in. I think creeds may be helpful. Well unless they are an excuse to think oneself better than the other people. Then they are a serious burden.

Wow! Certainly a lot of piety here.
I wonder if any of this non-judgementalism is left for the judgemental.

Sigh ... 'judge not, lest ye be judged'. You'd be OK with that, I guess?
