FLDS Exodus, Should the LDS church step in to help?

I was watching a Utah Fox13 news report about members of the FLDS religion walking away from their homes and religion.

It has been called by some as a "humanitarian crisis" as many people are having to walk away from their homes. Should the LDS church step in and help where they can?

My guess is that the LDS church will try to keep as much distance as possible from the FLDS. Especially in an election year with a Mormon most likely to be the Republican nominee. Expect no help from the LDS church.

The Church will NOT help except for young children. Why? There is NO WAY that Church leaders want mature polygamists in the homes of Mormon...talking about 1886 Revelations and how the Manifesto was a BIG LIE (which it was). No way! The Brethren want Mormons ignorant, busy as Hell, and UNable to think for themselves. Mormons are best controlled that way.

yes, people should step up and help out those that are not in your tribe/culture. all people need someone to say you are loved, cherished, no longer an outcast, and that you are worthy. everyone needs a savior.

Many Utah news outlets are now reporting about the new edict of Warren Jeffs to his church. These people either need to leave with nothing but the clothes on their back or submit to new rules and a new baptism.

To me, that's always the most interesting thing about "end of the world" predictions. The excuses put forward about why it didn't happen.
