Some friends over at the US Army base at RAF Mildenhall,
all say Happy Holidays, rather than Happy Christmas,
even some TBM's do this.
Is it just a habit that has crept in, or is it done to be
inclusive of the Jewish Festival of Hanukkah?
What is wrong with the universal greeting of Happy Christmas?
Just Wondering!
Oh and Happy Christmas, and Happy Holidays to those
who use the phrase.
Why do folks in the USA use the phrase Happy Holidays?

It's a quite pleasant way of being nice to everybody, even those who don't do Christmas. Seems Christ-like to me, but then what would I know?
Zadok:
I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

Happy holidays covers Xmas, T-giving, and New Years. Three in one, you socialist Eurotrashies!

I concur with Chap's succinct explanation.
