Wish I'd seen this sooner. Been here a week, and I'm already tired of dealing with these knuckleheads.

You can complain, when you've been at it for a decade or more.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Aristotle why did you include BC in your list?

I never answered your question.

Because he is obtuse.

If this plea was fulfilled, you would have the continuous sound of one hand clapping, being occasionally interrupted by Helen Keller falling down in the forest. Of course, this sound would be very erudite.

I've started to repent and see the errors of my ways. It seems many times they are just posting to kick up dust. Many times seemingly just to derail the thread eventually back to their pet issue. (Negativity, official doctrine, anonymous posting)

A friendly reminder to all. Please reconsider this plea and cease arguing with ldsfaqs, bcspace, why me, Droopy (when he shows up), etc.

Even if you manage to win a "debate" with them, it's the same as winning "Least Inbred Sumbitch" at an Appalachian family reunion. By winning, you have already lost.

Thank you for your consideration in these matters.

I understand your point, AS. However, football players continue to use tackling dummies, and boxers continue to use punching bags. That's because they are training for when they have a real opponent.

You know how some people do isometric exercises to build strength? You push against something you know you can't move, but it actually builds muscle strength that can be used to move things that actually can be moved.

So if you choose to engage someone who you already know is impossible to be reasoned with...........

Simple Solutions for Simple Problems - Don't like being shown to be an idiot, don't post here. Same as those who call into Heart of the Matter TV show. Don't like being seen as an idiot, don't call in.

Thus the Problem with being a defender of Horny Holy Joe and his band of Perverts. When your message is one of "Keep Me Simple Stupid" you are as Mr. J states a tackling or punching DUMMY. And people are going to Punch away.

I think the debate serves an important purpose. While it may be repetitious and tedious to long-time members of the forum, there are new people who discover these issues every day and for them, the debate is important, new, and enlightening. Debates such as these played a huge part in my own journey and I know there are people every day that start their own journey. They need the debate.
